Job Title: Director of Compliance and Controls
Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid)
Salary Range: $180,000 - $200,000
Employment Type: Full-Time

Our client is seeking a seasoned Director of Controls to lead and enhance their global financial controls function. This strategic leadership role will oversee a team of six professionals across international locations, ensuring robust compliance, risk mitigation, and operational excellence.

• Lead and manage a global team of six control professionals.
• Design, implement, and monitor internal control frameworks across business units.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in control processes and systems.
• Provide strategic insights to senior leadership on risk and control matters.
• Oversee SOX compliance and internal audit coordination.

• Minimum 10 years of experience in financial controls, audit, or risk management.
• Active CPA certification required.
• Advanced degree preferred: MBA, MAcc, MSA.
• Proven leadership experience managing global teams.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, SOX, and internal control frameworks.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
