Salem, IL
Position: Senior Community Cook
Hours: part time, every other weekend availability needed; 5:30am-5:30pm and one or two days during the week.

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Community Cook to join our dining services team. In this role, you will work closely with the Dining Services Director to prepare nutritious, high-quality meals for our residents while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare meals according to menus, resident needs, and dietary regulations.
Follow all federal, state, and local food preparation and sanitation standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas.
Work collaboratively with the Dining Services Director and team members to ensure a positive dining experience for residents.
Qualifications:
Previous cooking experience, preferably in Independent, Assisted, or Supportive Living communities.
18 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent, with completion of required state training.
Valid Food Handler’s Permit (per state requirements).
Experience working with older adults is preferred.
Compassion for and a genuine desire to serve seniors.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, staff, and vendors.
Must meet all health requirements and pass a background check.
Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
