About The Position
We are seeking a board-certified Urologist for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in West Virginia, starting Jan 5, 2026. This role consists of direct patient care in both clinic and surgical settings, with a schedule of Monday through Friday day shifts and on-call requirements.
Job Details

- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm; on call 10 days per month, including 2 weekend days
Responsibilities and Duties
- Deliver direct urology patient care, including outpatient clinic and surgical procedures
- Evaluate and treat patients in a urological outpatient clinic and perform consults
- Coordinate referrals and provide basic urological care
- Perform cystoscopies, vasectomies, scrotal surgeries, ureteroscopies, and transurethral procedures for prostate disease and bladder cancer
- Conduct inpatient rounds for urological patients
- Provide specialty exams related to urological conditions (e.g., compensation and pension, agent orange)
- Communicate test results to providers and patients per established protocols, including critical result response and documentation
- Adhere to all medication policies and procedures; no sample medications are dispensed
- Provide discharge education and coordinate follow-up instructions for urology patients
- Complete administrative tasks including mandatory trainings and meetings (up to 5% of time)
Additional Information
- Board certification in Urology required
- Active license to practice in any state accepted
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
- At least 2 years of experience strongly preferred
- Experience with CPRS EMR system
