Plant Manager III – Center, TX

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Plant Manager III to oversee all operations at our poultry processing facility in Center, TX. This position leads a team of approximately 1,200 employees across three shifts, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all functional areas of the poultry processing plant, including production, maintenance, safety, quality, sanitation, scheduling, shipping, and receiving.
• Lead and develop managers and supervisors to enhance team performance and leadership capability.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Monitor and analyze production performance, cost data, and efficiency reports to identify improvement opportunities.
• Manage and execute plant capital projects and budget plans.
• Support Talent Mapping, Succession Planning, and Retention programs.
• Promote a culture of Total Quality Management (TQM) and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 8+ years of poultry manufacturing experience (Tray Pack or kill facility experience preferred).
• 6+ years of leadership experience in large, complex, or unionized environments.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, regulatory compliance, and plant operations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Travel: Approximately 6–11 trips per year.
