Are you ready to take your passion for athletic training beyond the sidelines and into the dynamic world of construction and industry? Amphibious Medics is calling for driven and compassionate Full-Time Athletic Trainers (ATCs) to join our mission of revolutionizing workplace health and wellness.

Based around Stamford, TX, this is your opportunity to work with Industrial Athletes—the resilient and hardworking individuals who build and shape the world around us. Every day is an adventure where you’ll make an impact by keeping them safe, strong, and performing at their peak.

Why Join the Amphibious Medics Team?

At Amphibious Medics, we see construction workers as modern-day athletes, putting their bodies to the test to create the infrastructure of tomorrow. As an ATC with us, you’ll combine your clinical expertise with the excitement of working directly in industrial and construction settings—delivering innovative injury prevention and wellness strategies.

  • Competitive Pay: $34.00-$38.00 per hr
  • Benefits that Matter: 401K, comprehensive benefits package, and professional growth opportunities.
  • A Role with Purpose: Experience the fulfillment of building a culture of health and wellness where it’s needed most.

What You’ll Do

Transform Lives and Workplaces Every Day

As an Athletic Trainer at Amphibious Medics, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring Industrial Athletes stay strong, healthy, and safe. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Wellness Advocacy: Perform routine wellness checks, like blood pressure and glucose screenings, to proactively manage health.
  • Expert First Aid: Deliver top-tier care for injuries, from musculoskeletal complaints to non-rigid bracing, stretching, and massage techniques.
  • Orthopedic Guidance: Conduct professional injury evaluations and support recovery plans tailored to workers' unique needs.
  • Injury Prevention: Design and lead wellness programs, educate teams on healthy practices, and implement ergonomic solutions that reduce workplace risks.
  • Collaboration: Partner with safety teams and advocate for worker wellness across diverse sites and challenges.
  • Site Assessment: We strive to support our clients in the field, not in the office! You will spend 65% of your day actively engaging with the workers.

What You Bring

Your skills and passion for helping others are the foundation of our success. To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Certification: Board Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) with state licensure.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years in athletic training, with a preference for ergonomics or occupational health settings.
  • Skills: Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to walk a job site including climbing stairs while carrying a backpack up to 35 pounds in all weather conditions.
  • Extras: Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification and knowledge of OSHA regulations or workers' comp processes are major bonuses.

Why Amphibious Medics?

At Amphibious Medics, we redefine what it means to be an Athletic Trainer by empowering you to:

  • Lead Change: Bring innovation to wellness and injury prevention in industrial and construction settings.
  • Foster Relationships: Build trust and camaraderie with the teams who count on you every day.
  • Grow Professionally: Explore opportunities for development, from ergonomic design to thought leadership in occupational health.
  • Make a Difference: Be part of a movement that prioritizes safety, wellness, and human connection on every worksite.

Company Description
AMPHIBIOUS MEDICS
A Veteran Owned Small Business

Amphibious Medics was founded by Mike Donoghue, a diver and set medic, to serve the marine side of LA media productions. We moved into the construction first aid industry after numerous requests from non-entertainment entities. We are now proud to be part of some of the most important construction projects and high profile productions in the country. In 2011, with a nationwide staffing network in place, the Amphibious Medics emergency response and dive teams were in position to “get dirty” with the nation’s largest obstacle racing events, including Tough Mudder and Spartan Race. The high energy excitement of these extreme events has ignited a passionate following among emergency services personnel across the U.S. who are eager to share in the professional challenge that comes with working as an Amphibious Medic.

Our nationwide network of medics are thoroughly screened by our multi-layered vetting process. To be an Amphibious Medic, membership in the National Registry of EMTs and Paramedics alone is not enough – our crew must demonstrate medical authority and responsibility. Attitude, professionalism, and personal appearance are all considered in the exclusive Amphibious Medics hiring process, assuring our clients that responsive and enthusiastic people, each with a passion to serve, are part of your project.

Amphibious Medics is recognized as a Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise, and is a Certified Minority Business Enterprise.
