• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing
• Location: Lynchburg, VA 24501 (Virginia nursing jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Emergency Room, Level II Trauma Center
• Start Date: December 1, 2025
• End Date: February 28, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour evening shifts (11:00 AM – 11:00 PM), every other weekend
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,780 - $1,910
• Orientation: Offered every other Monday (12/1 and 12/15)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience in a similar size ED
• Experience in Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Center required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Active Virginia or Compact RN license (Registered Nurse license) at time of submission
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC (Trauma Certification: ATCN/TNCC/ATLC)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification
• Cerner EMR experience highly preferred
• All requested time off must be submitted with application
• COVID/Flu declinations accepted if approved
• Local candidates within 60 miles are not eligible

ER RN Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based emergency care to patients in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Perform triage, assessment, and treatment of patients with acute and trauma-related conditions
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document patient care using Cerner EMR
• Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical training as required
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
