What you’ll tackle
  • Engineer methods, tooling, and techniques to reduce setup, changeovers, and operator effort.
  • Implement cycle-time reduction strategies in constrained manufacturing cells.
  • Troubleshoot machining processes and PLC programs (Siemens & Allen‑Bradley).
  • Modify manufacturing processes for safety, quality, cost improvements, and design changes.
  • Own budgets and schedules tied to projects; manage expenditures to targets.
  • Lead capital projects: write equipment specs, oversee runoffs, drive installation, coordinate contractors.
  • Keep equipment drawings and production layouts accurate and current.
  • Create durable fixes for recurring equipment/process failures.
  • Provide focused training to elevate departmental capability.
  • Coordinate TPM/PM along with proactive and predictive maintenance to maximize uptime.
  • Co-own PFMEA, control plans, and process flows with the Quality Engineer.
  • Support the shop floor with structured problem-solving and clear standard work.
  • Partner across teams and levels to improve machinery and processes.
  • Facilitate Kaizen events and document outcomes for sustainability.
  • Apply awareness of environmental aspects and operational controls in daily decisions.
What sets you up for successMust-have
  • 2+ years in high-volume machining, assembly, and automation.
  • Practical Lean Enterprise experience.
Nice-to-have
  • Excellent people, organization, and communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering discipline.
  • Comfort with MS Word/Excel and systems such as MfgPro and Kronos.
