Position SummaryThe Medical Director provides leadership, oversight, and direct clinical support for our clinic. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality medical services, regulatory compliance, supervision of clinical practices, and support of our interdisciplinary team.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide medical leadership and direction aligned with organization policies and state/federal regulations
Oversee and participate in clinical care delivery, including prescribing and medication management
Conduct weekly onsite visits (minimum 25% of clinic operating hours) and provide virtual availability as needed
Review clinical documentation (minimum 10% of charts monthly) and monitor care quality
Participate in treatment team meetings and collaborate with clinical and administrative teams
Develop, support, and help implement treatment programs and clinical pathways
Support quality improvement, staff training, and continuing education initiatives
Respond to medical emergencies as needed and support compliance/accreditation reviews
Serve as clinical ambassador for patients, families, staff, and community partners
Maintain professional and ethical standards consistent with state licensure and medical board standards
MD or DO with active Tennessee medical license in good standing
Board certification strongly preferred (Addiction Medicine or Internal/Family Medicine preferred)
DEA certification and ability to prescribe medication-assisted treatment
Experience in addiction medicine, primary care, or behavioral health preferred
Strong leadership, communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
Ability to meet regulatory, ethical, and documentation standards
