What Will You Do as a Fixed Assets Specialist?

As a Fixed Assets Specialist, you will:

• Review, process, and record fixed assets for existing restaurants, as well as new builds and remodels (primary focus on existing locations).
• Interpret and apply fixed asset policies and capitalization guidelines during reviews of invoices and construction documents.
• Process asset retirements when necessary.
• Review, repair, and maintenance accounts monthly for items eligible for capitalization.
• Scan and index the document to ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Assist in preparing and processing accrual journal entries to record depreciation estimates for unbooked assets.
• Support special projects as needed in your role as a Fixed Assets Specialist.

Preferred Qualifications for the Fixed Assets Specialist Role:

To succeed as a Fixed Assets Specialist, you should bring:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP experience preferred).
• Experience with Oracle or similar ERP/reporting tools is a plus.
• Minimum of three years of accounting experience (invoice processing, payroll, vendor accounts, journal/ledger maintenance) or one year in analytical/reconciliation accounting.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred.
