Med/Surg RN Job Details – Albany, GA

• Location: Albany, GA 31701 (Southwest Georgia healthcare jobs)
• Facility Setting: Acute Care – Medical Surgical Unit
• Assignment Length: 17 weeks (Start: 12/15/2025, End: 4/13/2026)
• Shift: 12-hour days (6:45am – 7:15pm), every other weekend required
• Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1680 - $1800
• Open Positions: 4 Med/Surg RN travel jobs
• Scrub Color: Caribbean Blue
• Charting System: MEDITECH 6.1
• Orientation: 1 week general + 2 days unit-specific

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia or compact state
• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Surgical nursing experience
• BLS certification (AHA required)
• NIHSS certification (AHA required)
• Experience with MEDITECH preferred
• Ability to float to all acute care and cardiac units as needed
• Must reside at least 75 miles from facility (per travel RN requirements)

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in a 44-bed Medical Surgical unit
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:5, occasionally 1:6
• Collaborate with certified nurse aides (CNA ratios 1:8 to 1:10) and interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Utilize MEDITECH for electronic documentation and charting
• Float to acute care, cardiac, or emergency care units as needed
• Participate in comprehensive orientation and ongoing training
• Work every other weekend and holidays as required
