Position Overview

Provide high-quality nursing care to Med Surg/Telemetry patients in an acute care setting. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure patient safety, accurate documentation, and effective patient care planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care to patients on Med Surg and Telemetry units in accordance with hospital policies and MA RN scope of practice.

• Monitor and assess patient conditions, recognize changes in patient status, and respond appropriately.

• Administer medications and treatments per provider orders and facility protocols.

• Utilize Telemetry monitoring systems and respond to arrhythmias or other alerts.

• Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner using Meditech.

• Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and families regarding patient care plans.

• Participate in orientation, unit-based education, and mandatory trainings as required.

• Telemetry competency test will be administered on the first day of orientation.

Submission Requirements

• MA RN License – Required

• BLS (ARC or AHA) – Required

• Telemetry and Meditech experience – Required

• 3 years prior Med Surg/Telemetry experience – Required

• 2024/2025 Flu vaccine – Required
