Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking an experienced Hospitalist Physician (MD/DO) for a high-impact locum tenens opportunity along the coast of North Carolina. This position offers a flexible schedule, low patient census, and a collaborative hospitalist team in a scenic community healthcare setting.

Opportunity Details

• Location: Nags Head, NC
• Contract Type: Hospitalist Physician Locum Tenens
• Start Dates & Shifts (7a–7p):
  • December 24–26
• Schedule: Day shifts only (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Shift Volume: Avg. 12–15 inpatients, 5–6 admissions/day
• Facility Type: 19-bed Critical Access Hospital

Position Overview

• Provide comprehensive inpatient care for general med-surg patients
• Respond to ED calls and evaluate patients for admission
• Perform patient rounding, admissions, and discharges
• Interpret EKGs and ABGs
• No ICU responsibilities
• Respond to codes
• EMR System: EPIC

Candidate Requirements

• Licensure: Active North Carolina Medical License and DEA
• Board Certification: American Board of Internal Medicine or Family Medicine (MD/DO)
• Additional Certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Experience:
  • Minimum 1 year of inpatient hospital medicine experience preferred
  • Strong clinical acumen in managing non-ICU level patients independently
