Job DescriptionThe Multi-Modality Imaging Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures across MRI, CT, and X-ray modalities. This role ensures high-quality imaging, patient safety, and adherence to all regulatory and accreditation standards. The technologist collaborates with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to deliver accurate and timely diagnostic information.
Responsibilities- Operate MRI scanners to produce diagnostic images, screen patients for contraindications, administer contrast agents, and ensure patient comfort and safety during scans.
- Perform CT scans including trauma, contrast, and non-contrast studies; prepare and position patients accurately, administer IV contrast, and perform post-processing and 3D reconstructions as needed.
- Conduct general radiographic exams including portable and fluoroscopic procedures, ensuring proper positioning and technique to minimize radiation exposure.
- Maintain and calibrate X-ray equipment.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
- ARRT (R) certification required; ARRT (CT) and ARRT (MR) certifications preferred or must be obtained within a specified timeframe.
- State licensure (if applicable) and BLS certification.
- Proficiency in operating MRI, CT, and X-ray equipment, with strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and cross-sectional imaging.
- Excellent patient care and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team; familiarity with PACS, RIS, and EMR systems.
