Ophthalmology Physician

Sumo Medical Staffing is looking for an experienced Ophthalmology Physician for a locum tenens assignment in Ironwood, Michigan. This opportunity offers a preference for long-term, consistent coverage.

We are seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Ophthalmologist with at least 2 weeks per month of availability, ideally able to commit for up to 6 months. The role includes a minimum of one surgical day per week accompanied by clinic days. Providers should be confident in managing a broad range of ophthalmic conditions and delivering high-quality, patient-centered eye care.

Assignment Details:

Location: Ironwood, MI

Setting: Outpatient clinic + surgical days

Schedule: Prefer 2 weeks per month

Coverage Needs: Up to 6 months of availability preferred

Clinical/Surgical Mix: Minimum 1 surgical day per week + clinic days

Responsibilities Include:

Outpatient ophthalmology clinic visits

Weekly surgical day

Diagnosis and management of ophthalmic conditions

Collaboration with clinic and surgical teams
