MISTEQUA CASINO HOTEL JOB ANNOUNCEMENT

POSITION: CASINO SHIFT MANAGER STATUS: FULL-TIME

REPORTS TO: GENERAL MANAGER SALARY: $24.20/HR

DATE OPENED: 12/2/2025 DATE CLOSED: 12/15/2025

POSITION SUMMARY

During designated shift, ensures that Casino is in compliance with Tribal-State Compact, ordinances, and all Casino internal control policies and department procedures. Supervises Table games on assigned shift. Also, in the absence of the General Manager or Department Manager, supervisory authority over the gaming property, and all departments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

(These functions are intended as a general illustration of the work performed in this job classification and are not all inclusive for this position)

  • Enforcing compliance with casino internal control standards, compact, policies & procedures and safeguard casino assets in conjunction with TGA and Security that has been established for Spokane Tribal Gaming.
  • Must be willing to work with all regulatory agencies, i.e., Gaming Commission, State, and Federal.
  • Must adhere to the Mistequa Casino Hotel Team Member Handbook.
  • Must adhere to our SMILE service standards and Core Values by providing excellent guest service. Maintain a positive and productive attitude with guests as well as fellow team members. Monitor team members within the casino to ensure SMILE service standards and Core Values are being executed.
  • Safeguards company assets located within the Casino.
  • Utilizing effective interpersonal skills, work closely both within the department and with other departments.
  • General management of Casino during designated shift.
  • Must adhere to strict confidentiality standards.
  • Advises and briefs General Manager on day-to-day operations.
  • The CSM will be delegated specific assignments as required.
  • The CSM must maintain familiarity with all games and promotions used by the facility.
  • Resolves team member issues that require immediate attention & follows through with the Department Manager and HR Manager.
  • The CSM must be proactive and identify problems, solutions, and team member issues. Follow through with other CSM's, department managers and the General Manager.
  • Attends to any guest disputes that are not resolved by Supervisor or other department manager.
  • Monitor game operations to ensure that house rules are followed.
  • Documenting operational activities in daily shift reports, also documenting unusual incidents.
  • Observe gamblers for signs of cheats, scams, or irregularities in play. Assist in maintaining floor security by notifying Management and Security of suspicious activity.
  • Must be able to work shift work, holidays, weekends, and special events.
  • Additional duties as required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversight of Shift Operations.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3 years of Gaming experience.
  • Table games experience preferred.
  • Must be able to multi-task.
  • Excellent guest service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and use good judgment.
  • Ability to handle guest relations in a professional manner.
  • Ability to make sound decisions through collaboration.
  • Ability to place a strong focus on talent diversity and developing individual strengths.
  • Detail-oriented.

REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

In addition to the other duties described herein, each and every team member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations:

  • Must be 18 years of age to obtain and maintain a License A with Spokane Tribal Gaming Commission.
  • Attend required training sessions offered by the Casinos.
  • Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
  • Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the team member's department.
  • Consult Internal Control Procedures and Policy Manuals for guidance.
  • Report illegal activity to Security or the appropriate levels of Management.
