Physical Therapist - School Setting in Paterson, NJ

Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make an impact this summer by supporting students as a Physical Therapist in a school-based extended school year (ESY) program. This contract opportunity is located near Paterson, NJ, with a schedule designed for work-life balance: Monday through Thursday, 8:30 AM–12:30 PM, from June 29 through July 30. Play an essential role in helping students maintain and enhance their physical abilities in a collaborative educational setting.

Desired Qualifications:

• Current license as a Physical Therapist in the state of New Jersey
• Experience providing physical therapy in a school or pediatric setting
• Familiarity with IEPs and educational documentation requirements
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working closely with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Proven ability to adapt interventions based on individualized student needs
• Collaborative mindset and commitment to supporting student growth throughout ESY programming

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver physical therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals and ESY program objectives
• Conduct assessments, document progress, and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Consult and collaborate with teachers, aides, and other school professionals to maximize student participation and performance
• Engage with families to review student goals, progress, and recommended activities for home
• Maintain accurate records according to state and school guidelines
