Trusted Resource Associates (TRA) is seeking a local contract nurse RN Dialysis for a local contract nursing job in Tucson, Arizona.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
2 years in an Acute Care Setting

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION / LICENSURE
  • (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in dialysis or nephrology nursing (acute or chronic dialysis experience preferred).
  • BLS and ACLS certification required - American Heart Association . Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN) or Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) preferred.

Qualifications:
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for dialysis patients.
  • Administer hemodialysis treatments in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Monitor patients for complications during dialysis treatments and respond promptly to adverse reactions.
  • Collaborate with physicians, dietitians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families on dialysis treatment, medication management, and lifestyle adjustments.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, treatment plans, and dialysis records.
  • Operate and maintain dialysis machines and related equipment, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives within the dialysis unit.
  • Provide emotional support and advocacy for patients and their families during treatment.
  • Stay current with best practices and advancements in nephrology nursing.
  • Proficiency in operating dialysis machines and understanding of dialysis procedures.
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
  • Excellent patient assessment and clinical skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed.
