Integrated Healthcare Services is seeking a travel Surgical Technologist for a travel job in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Required: RNs must have one year of inpatient experience minimum in the related department with the trauma level shown below
Required: One year of travel experience is preferred but will consider six months’ travel
Required: All Candidates are expected to Float as needed
Required: 0630am-0500pm. 4 days a week. No call/no weekends/no holidays. OVT available. Ophthalmology experience required. Surgical Technician Certification Required.
Job Summary:
Under supervision, provides technical assistance as a surgical technician in operating rooms, labor and delivery, or other facilities performing surgical procedures.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Use Physician’s preference cards to prepare the operating room for procedures.
- Set up sterile fields by opening instruments and supplies using sterile techniques.
- Perform surgical scrubs prior to patient entry for all procedures.
- Assist physicians in draping patients and preparing the operative field.
- Ensure proper identification and preservation of operative specimens for lab analysis.
- Obtain and verify functionality of special equipment (e.g., electrosurgical machines, diagnostic lights).
- Provide instruments and supplies during surgery to enhance efficiency and patient safety.
- Identify and correct breaks in sterile technique.
- Participate in sponge, needle, and instrument counts as directed by the circulating nurse.
- Clean and sterilize instruments, equipment, and operating room areas; dispose of soiled linen.
- Assist in training new surgical technicians.
- Perform clerical and direct patient care activities if assigned to Labor and Delivery.
General Responsibilities:
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technician program.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association upon hire.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Understanding of basic human anatomy and first-aid practices.
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships.
- Knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate care for neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Ability to assess patient data and interpret age-specific needs for appropriate care.
