Shift Type: Nights (12-hour shifts; must be flexible for 7p–7:30a or 3p–3:30a as needed)
Hours per Week: 36 Hours Guaranteed
Candidate Pay Rate: $68/hr

 

Blended Roles and Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency care to patients across all acuity levels

• Perform rapid assessments, triage, and prioritize patient care effectively

• Manage critical situations including trauma, cardiac, and pediatric emergencies

• Administer medications, IV therapy, and emergency interventions

• Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to dysrhythmias

• Collaborate with physicians, trauma teams, and interdisciplinary staff

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR systems

• Ensure patient safety, infection control, and compliance with ER protocols

• Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions

• Adapt quickly to changing patient volumes and high-pressure situations

Requirements

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of current Emergency Room experience required

• Must be flexible to work both listed shift options as needed

• Strong critical thinking and multitasking abilities

• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-stress environments

Education

• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (ADN/BSN)

Certifications & Licensure

• Active Massachusetts RN License (required at submission)

• BLS (AHA)

• ACLS (AHA)

• PALS (AHA)

• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)

• Basic Dysrhythmia course completion

Knowledge and Skills

• Advanced emergency and trauma care skills

• Strong cardiac monitoring and interpretation

• Excellent communication and teamwork

• Time management and prioritization under pressure

• Familiarity with Meditech Expanse preferred
