Requirements

  • Deliver safe, effective, patient- and family-centered medical-surgical nursing care with compassion and clarity
  • Perform excellent patient assessments and develop appropriate care plans
  • Document clinical care accurately and timely in the electronic health record
  • Respond rapidly and efficiently in emergency situations to protect patient safety
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team

  • Function independently while collaborating with colleagues to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse (RN) — title indicates RN level practice; current RN license in Maine expected
  • Proven experience in Medical-Surgical nursing and patient assessment
  • Strong clinical documentation and computer skills
  • Ability to act quickly and efficiently in emergency situations
  • High degree of professionalism and commitment to patient-family centered care
