Skills That Get You Hired
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong problem-solving, multitasking, and computer skills
- Prior experience/knowledge of mailing requirements, equipment, and processes
- Advanced knowledge of USPS rules and regulations, and staying informed of any changes
On the Job
- Create and maintain a schedule for the department and communicate the expected time to start and complete tasks
- Maintain job production statuses
- Utilize quality control check procedures
- Schedule 3rd-party transportation services for mailings
- Review, follow, and question information provided - require clarity and consistency
- Be prepared to answer questions regarding jobs, as well as communicate material needs, to meet mailing drop dates
- Produce mailing production paperwork
- Monitor the Mailing Department inventory, and create purchase requisitions to replenish inventory
- Create reports and/or provide feedback to upper management
- Communicate with USPS
- Assist with mailing handwork functions, as needed
- Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for prolonged periods of
