American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position in Rockford, IL, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active IL RN license.
Details- Hospital-based Interventional Radiology (IR) unit
- Level 1 Trauma Center environment
- 8-hour day shifts with an on-call rotation covering weeknights, weekends, and holidays
- 13-week contract
- Active IL RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications required: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience, with at least 1 year of critical care experience
- Cardiovascular intervention experience required
- Prior IR experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center strongly preferred
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (education verification required)
- Must successfully pass an EKG test prior to completion of orientation
- Utilizes the nursing process and critical thinking in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members to assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, and state practice acts
- Develops and executes individualized patient plans of care per physician orders and hospital policy, including patient and family education
- Ensures accurate and comprehensive documentation in accordance with established standards of care
- Participates in department performance improvement activities, shared governance, and peer review
- Engages in continuous professional development including evidence-based practice guidelines
