Join OTTERBECK BUILDERS INC as a Lead Carpenter and take the next step in your career! We are looking for a skilled professional to lead our construction projects with precision and expertise while working alongside a dedicated team in Castleton On Hudson, NY.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage carpentry projects from start to finish, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications accurately.
• Supervise and mentor junior carpenters and apprentices on job sites.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and other trades to ensure project timelines are met.
• Perform framing, roofing, and finishing work with attention to detail.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
• Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
• Communicate effectively with clients to address their needs and provide updates.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 6 years of carpentry experience in residential or commercial construction.
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing a team.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and construction best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• OSHA certification is a plus.
