Location:
Cedar Hill, TX
Shift: 8am to 4:30pm M-F
Job Summary:
Join our sign manufacturing company in Cedar Hill as a Crater/Shipping Department Associate. In this role, you'll play a vital part in preparing signs for shipment by constructing durable crates and managing shipping tasks. If you have carpentry skills, a strong attention to detail, and experience operating tools, this position is a great fit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build crates to ensure signs are securely prepared for shipment.
- Use carpentry skills to measure, cut, and assemble materials with precision.
- Operate a variety of tools, including saws, hand tools, and power tools.
- Read and interpret tape measurements accurately.
- Support overall shipping operations as needed.
Required Experience:
- Proven carpentry or woodworking experience.
- Experience in operating hand tools and power tools in a professional setting.
Nice-to-Have Experience:
- Previous experience in a shipping or crating role.
- Forklift certification or experience is a plus.
Required Skills:
- Ability to read and work with tape measurements accurately.
- Proficiency in handling and operating saws and carpentry tools.
- Strong carpentry skills, including cutting and assembly.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with crating and packaging processes.
- Knowledge of material handling in a shipping environment.
- Forklift operation skills.
Pay $18.00 to $21.00 BOE
