Role Summary
As an Early Childhood Teacher Assistant, you will provide essential support in the classroom to ensure a safe, nurturing, and high-quality learning environment. Working under the guidance of a Certified Teacher, you will assist with small-group instruction, manage classroom transitions, and support the social-emotional growth of every student. You will work collaboratively with a dedicated team to implement creative activities that spark wonder and build the foundational skills our scholars need for Kindergarten and beyond.

- Educational Foundation: To join our team, you must meet one of the following:
- Minimum of 60 semester hours of college credit (certified transcript required).
- OR A passing score on the ParaPro® Assessment.
- OR Completion of Missouri’s 20-hour substitute training program.
- Certified Professional: You must hold a valid Substitute Teacher Certification from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (MO DESE).
- Proven Experience: You have a heart for children and verified experience working with young learners in a structured environment.
- The "Curiosity" Mindset: You are patient, adaptable, and possess the "superpower" of turning a simple block tower or a picture book into a profound learning moment.
- Equity Champion: You believe that every child deserves a brilliant start and are committed to creating a classroom where every family feels they belong.
Your Impact (Key Duties)
- Support the Discovery: Assist the lead teacher in delivering engaging, hands-on lessons that develop literacy, numeracy, and fine motor skills.
- Foster Independence: Help our little scholars learn to navigate their world—from mastering "big feelings" and social cues to successfully managing classroom routines.
- Classroom Synergy: Work as a true partner to the lead teacher, helping to prepare materials, document student progress, and maintain a vibrant, organized learning space.
- Safety & Care: Supervise students during play, meals, and transitions, ensuring that safety is always the top priority.
- Build Relationships: Act as a warm and professional point of contact for our families, helping them feel connected to their child's first school experience.
