Associate Attorney (Hybrid)

Our company is looking to fill one Associate Attorney (Hybrid)

Responsibilities

• Review new file assignments and approve initial pleadings, propound discovery, and/or develop strategy

• Contacts clients to discuss their case and answer any questions. Maintains contact at a minimum of 60 days

• Contact claims (initial litigation plan, recurring minimum 60-day contact, strategy conferences, etc.)

• Conduct all aspects of discovery, from written discovery to deposition of parties, fact witnesses, and expert witnesses

• Perform due diligence; gather all relevant facts and documents; collaborate with Law Clerks, Paralegals and/or other Attorneys in due diligence

• Research and determine applicable and pertinent laws, statutes, regulations, rules, and other legal authority; identify legal issues

Qualifications

• Candidate must hold a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school

• 3-7 years of litigation experience, preferably in personal injury or insurance defense. Must meet requirements for continuing licensure for law practice throughout employment

• Must be in good standing with the State Bar and must have an active license to practice law in Texas

• Strong analytical and writing skills; strong organizational skills; ability to multi-task; passion for client service and practice development
