Gills Point S is seeking a skilled and dependable Heavy Diesel/Truck Mechanic to join our team. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel trucks, vehicles and equipment. Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems on heavy-duty trucks and equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, inspections, and preventative service, to include alignment and suspension work on large semi-trucks.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and software
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards
  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation
  • Communicate effectively with team members and leadership regarding repair status and timelines
  • Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations







Requirements:


Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience working on heavy diesel equipment (trucks, trailers, or construction equipment)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills
  • Experience with diagnostic software and tools preferred
  • Valid driver’s license required (CDL is a plus)
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
