Staff Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support core accounting operations for a long-term contract opportunity in Immokalee, Florida. This role is ideal for someone who can manage day-to-day financial activities with accuracy while contributing to tax-related reporting and month-end close work. The position offers the chance to work across general ledger processes, journal entry preparation, and corporate tax responsibilities in a dynamic business environment.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and record journal entries to maintain accurate and timely financial records.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies to ensure reporting integrity.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities by organizing financial data and completing assigned accounting tasks.
• Assist with corporate tax filings and related documentation in accordance with applicable requirements.
• Manage sales tax reporting processes, including the review of transactional data for completeness and accuracy.
• Help compile information needed for corporate tax return preparation and submission.
• Review accounting transactions to confirm proper coding and alignment with internal financial procedures.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to gather supporting schedules, resolve issues, and improve accounting workflow efficiency.• Experience working in a Staff Accountant or similar accounting role.
• Practical knowledge of general ledger accounting and journal entry preparation.
• Background in corporate tax, including exposure to corporate tax return support.
• Familiarity with sales tax reporting and related compliance activities.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy across financial records.
• Ability to organize multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
• Proficiency in standard accounting systems and spreadsheet-based analysis.
