Integrated Healthcare Services is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a travel job in North Charleston, South Carolina.

Job Summary: CT Technologists produce computerized tomography radiographs of designated anatomical areas as ordered by physicians to diagnose patient conditions. They assist radiologists during procedures, supervise student technologists, and maintain positive customer relations.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure patient care and safety during imaging procedures, utilizing age-appropriate care.
  • Perform procedures following established protocols under radiologist direction.
  • Efficiently manage time to meet patient care assignments and quality expectations.
  • Minimize repeat examinations and utilize imaging equipment efficiently.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures, obtain informed consent, and ensure understanding of procedures.
  • Enter correct orders, diagnosis, and clinical history into the computer system.
  • Adhere to hospital, departmental, and safety policies, including radiation safety (ALARA principles).
  • Assist other team members and maintain records, reports, and files.
  • Promote departmental goals and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Work Demands/Environment:

  • Frequent standing, walking, lifting, and moving patients.
  • Exposure to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, and radiation.
  • Requires corrected hearing and vision, and ability to work under stressful conditions.
  • May involve call duties, weekends, and holidays.

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to perform and teach CT exams to produce diagnostic images.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, DHEC, FDA, and TJC standards.
  • Proficiency in operating standard office equipment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required; graduation from an accredited Allied Health program preferred.
  • Experience: One year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Registered in Radiologic Technology by ARRT or permanent certification in Radiography from SCRQSA. ARRT registration in CT preferred. Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card required.
