Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Collections Specialist responsible for managing outstanding customer accounts and ensuring timely payment of receivables. This role works closely with customers and internal teams to resolve discrepancies, negotiate payment arrangements, and maintain strong client relationships while improving cash flow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor accounts receivable and identify overdue or high-risk accounts
  • Contact customers via phone and email to collect outstanding balances and follow up on past-due invoices
  • Negotiate payment plans and settlement terms within company guidelines
  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, short payments, and account issues
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all collection activities, communications, and payment status
  • Prepare and analyze aging reports and provide updates on collection efforts to leadership
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Customer Service, Accounting) to resolve disputes and improve processes
  • Escalate delinquent accounts to management, legal, or third-party agencies as needed
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and all applicable collection laws and regulations
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of collections or accounts receivable experience
  • Strong understanding of billing, collections processes, and aging reports
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
  • Ability to handle high-volume accounts and maintain professionalism with customers
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems
Pay Details: $45,000.00 to $50,000.00 per year
