About this job
Job Description
Company Description:
My family was the original Founders and owners of Zatarain Pure Food Company.
In 1940, my grandfather was appointed by the governor of Louisiana to the Louisiana Tax Commission,
which oversees property taxes and assessors.
In 1956, my grandfather left the government and founded a private consulting firm, Zatarain Consulting
Partners, LLC.
I have been with the firm since 1977 and now work privately in the business.
My business is now almost totally in Louisiana, mostly in the southern part of the state, where I
represent large petrochemical companies, terminals, and other related businesses.
Job Description:
I am looking for someone who can work part-time and, sometimes, full-time. (With the possibility of
full-time employment). Our “Tax Season” normally is from January through April or May. It also gets
busy from November through mid-December.
Much of the work can be done remotely once the employee becomes comfortable with understanding
the process.
Employees should be comfortable with business attire when dealing with public officials (Tax
Assessors, Sheriffs, Legislators, etc.) and with corporate clients.
Light travel is occasionally needed to either pick up documents or deliver documents in South
Louisiana.
The Potential Employee must be comfortable dealing with people, as this is a large part of what we do.
Needed skills:
1. Comfortable interacting with people.
2. Knowledgeable of Microsoft Word and Excel, and computer-savvy.
3. Looking for a long-term relationship.
Salary:
Salary is negotiable based on the potential employees skills. An hourly wage can begin at $50 or more
an hour. An employee could earn $50,000 or more a year if they fit what I am looking for.
The right employee could earn a six-figure salary if they join the firm.
