Opportunity:
Physician - Internal Medicine
Job Details:
• Serve as core faculty for the Internal Medicine Health Equity Track
• Supervise Internal Medicine residents in a clinic-based experiential learning environment
• Provide real-time clinical teaching in primary care, population health, value-based care, and health equity-focused practice
• Teach residents to integrate social determinants of health and community-engaged care approaches
• Participate in journal clubs, lecture series, case conferences, and resident workshops
• Mentor residents in quality improvement initiatives and health equity research
• Deliver comprehensive Internal Medicine care within the Value-Based Care Clinic
• Utilize evidence-based guidelines and value-based care principles
• Use population health tools, risk stratification, and care coordination strategies
• Deliver coordinated, team-based care alongside care managers, pharmacists, social workers, and behavioral health specialists
• Partner collaboratively with Graduate Medical Education personnel
• Maintain current expertise in Internal Medicine, health equity science, and value-based care frameworks
• Participate in quality improvement projects and mentor residents in QI methodology
• Must complete ACGME or AMA approved residency training
• Board Eligible/Board Certified in Internal Medicine required
• Texas Medical License required or willingness to obtain
• Clean malpractice and license history highly preferred
• Experience in medical education, health equity, population health, or value-based care highly preferred
