Delivery Box Truck Driver

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Qualifications:

· Must have a legal and active driver’s license with either a For Hire or Class B endorsement

· Box truck driving experience: 1 year (Preferred)

· Candidates subject to pre-employment drug testing and background checks

Job Summary:

The Box Truck Driver is responsible for safely driving product to and from customer locations as directed. At times, the driver may be required to move material using a provided pallet jack. Drivers are responsible to ensure that product loaded on their trucks is not damaged and that product is not damaged in transit.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Safely operate a box truck with a carrying weight of less than 20,000 lbs

· Use GPS and follow given directions to get from customer to customer

· Safely operate a pallet jack to move product within the trailer of the box truck.

· Work in a warehouse environment that is subject to cold/hot weather as the seasons change

· Maintain a valid driver’s license with required endorsements.

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to move material by using a pallet jack

· Ability to get in and out of box truck as needed to inspect freight when loaded

· Ability to sit, walk, and stand for extended periods of time in a warehouse or vehicle as necessary

· Warehouse environment is subject to seasonal weather conditions and forklift drivers frequently have to offload trucks outside in varying weather conditions
