Start Date: 05/11/26
Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Contract Length: 8 Weeks
Coverage: Sunday – Saturday

Important Details

• Must hold valid ASL Interpreter certification/licensure required by Washington State

• Educational/School-based interpreting experience preferred

• RID Certification preferred

• EIPA score may be required depending on assignment

• Experience supporting K-12 students strongly preferred

• Ability to provide accurate real-time interpretation between spoken English and American Sign Language

• Must maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a school setting

• Strong communication and collaboration skills required

• Background check and school clearance required prior to start

Responsibilities

• Provide in-classroom ASL interpretation for students, staff, and school activities

• Facilitate effective communication between deaf/hard-of-hearing students and others

• Support student learning and participation in educational activities

• Attend meetings, school events, and related assignments as needed

• Maintain accurate documentation and follow district policies and procedures
