The Role

We are seeking an experienced Medical Billing Specialist to join our growing healthcare team. This is a hybrid role based out of our Lehi, UT office, offering a blend of remote flexibility and collaborative in-office days. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in electronic medical records management within AdvancedMD, exceptional accounts receivable (AR) aging recovery skills, and mastery of the pre-authorization process.

What Youll Do:

• AR Management: Resolve aging accounts receivable, appeal denials, and minimize outstanding balances.
• Pre-Authorization: Secure timely insurance pre-authorizations for procedures, tests, and specialist visits.
• Records Processing: Maintain, audit, and update electronic medical records with strict accuracy.
• Patient Billing: Answer billing inquiries, explain benefits, and establish patient payment plans.

What You Need:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of dedicated medical billing and coding experience.
• Software Mastery: Hands-on experience using AdvancedMD EHR and Practice Management software is a must.
• Location: Ability to commute to the Lehi, UT office for scheduled in-office hybrid days.
• AR Mastery: Proven track record of reducing AR aging days and successfully overturning denials.
• Pre-Auth Expertise: Verifiable experience navigating complex insurance portals for prior authorizations.
• Compliance: Deep understanding of HIPAA regulations, ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
