  • 40 hours/week, 12 Month Assignment

A leading electronics testing company is looking for a CNC Operator to support precision optical manufacturing operations. This role focuses on operating CNC equipment, performing metrology inspections, and supporting the assembly and processing of optical components such as mirrors and prisms

CNC Operator Responsibilities:

  • Operate CNC machinery (including equipment such as Blanchard grinders) and perform setup, alignment, and processing of parts according to specifications and work instructions.
  • Use mechanical and optical measurement tools (calipers, drop gages, autocollimators, and related equipment) along with automated test systems to inspect parts and accurately record results.
  • Perform mechanical assembly and fixturing using hand tools, including handling and processing precision optical components such as mirrors and prisms.
  • Execute cleaning of optical components using approved solvents while maintaining strict quality and handling standards.
  • Follow detailed written and verbal instructions to complete complex manufacturing tasks and provide feedback to engineering teams to support process development and improvement.

CNC Operator Qualifications:

  • 2-5+ years of experience in manufacturing using CNC equipment.
  • Experience operating CNC machinery and metrology or test systems.
  • Familiarity with working with optical components and an understanding of basic optical principles.
  • Intermediate mathematical skills, including basic math and geometry.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
