MRI Technologist – Travel Job

Jackson HealthPros is thrilled to welcome an experienced MRI Technologist to a hospital in New Lenox, IL. The MRI Technologist will accurately interpret physician scanning instructions, prepare and position patients for MRI procedures, and expertly operate MRI scanners to produce diagnostic images. The role includes performing a range of routine and specialized MR procedures for inpatients, outpatients, and emergency patients, assisting radiologists as needed, and maintaining equipment and safety standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification. (Will not consider AMRIT.)
• BLS certification.
• Minimum 1 year of recent GE MRI experience, required.
• Experience performing MRI procedures for patients of all ages, including prep, positioning, contrast administration, and image quality evaluation.
• Familiarity with MRI safety standards and manufacturer equipment guidelines, including warm up, calibration, and quality control procedures.
• Experience operating hospital computer systems and documenting exams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional MRI advanced level certification or state licensure.
• Two years' experience as an MRI Technologist.
• Experience in a hospital setting and assisting radiologists with advanced MR procedures.

Assignment Details

• Shift pattern: 10-hour nights, weekend requirement every weekend (20 hours guaranteed weekend work).
• Position will perform duties for inpatients, outpatients and emergency department patients.
• May be required to perform assigned supervisory functions and assist radiologists with procedures.
