Job Details

• Position: Geriatric Psych RN
• Location: Reseda
• Job Type: Per Diem
• Shift: Day/Night Rotating Shift
• Experience Required: 2 Years
• Pay Rate: $60 to $65/hr

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to geriatric psychiatric patients
• Assess, monitor, and document patient mental and physical health conditions
• Administer medications and psychiatric treatments as prescribed
• Support crisis intervention and de-escalation when necessary
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, social workers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and mental health support
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
• Ensure patient safety and compliance with behavioral health protocols

Requirements

• Active RN License in California
• Minimum 2 years of recent psychiatric or geriatric psych nursing experience
• BLS Certification required
• CPI certification preferred
• Strong behavioral health assessment and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced psychiatric care environments
• Compassionate, patient-focused, and safety-oriented approach to care
