Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active Texas Physical Therapist license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification required from AHA or ARC.
- Hospital experience required. Candidates without hospital experience will not be considered.
- Experience documenting in Meditech preferred.
- Experience with basic lift equipment and standard therapy equipment preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and manage typical inpatient caseloads (patient ratio approximately 5 patients).
Preferred Qualifications
- Inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred.
- CARE scoring experience preferred.
- Experience performing MBS for speech therapy patients is a plus.
Assignment Details
- Shift hours: 08:00–17:00.
- At least 2 weekend days per month required.
- Floating expectation: may float within acute care hospital areas.
- EMR: Meditech.
- Unit size: approximately 15 beds with a staff of about 20.
- Typical patient ratio: approximately 5 patients per clinician.
