Experienced Leasing Consultant

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced, customer-focused Leasing Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have prior apartment industry experience, strong sales and customer service skills, and the ability to build relationships with prospective and current residents. This position plays a key role in maintaining high occupancy levels while delivering exceptional resident experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist prospective residents in person, over the phone, and through email inquiries.
• Conduct community tours and effectively showcase apartment homes and amenities.
• Manage the leasing process from initial contact through move-in.
• Follow up with prospects to convert leads into leases.
• Prepare lease agreements and ensure all paperwork is completed accurately.
• Maintain knowledge of current pricing, availability, and community features.
• Assist with lease renewals and resident retention efforts.
• Respond promptly and professionally to resident concerns and service requests.
• Maintain accurate records in property management software.
• Participate in outreach marketing and community events to generate traffic.
• Ensure model units, vacant apartments, and common areas are presentable at all times.
• Meet or exceed occupancy, leasing, and customer service goals.

Qualifications:

• Apartment leasing experience required.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and leasing practices.
• Strong sales, marketing, and customer service skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with property management software such as Yardi, OneSite, Entrata, ResMan, or similar platforms preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Preferred Skills:

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
• Strong closing and follow-up abilities.
• Experience with resident retention and renewal programs.
• Ability to work weekends as needed.
