Local Driver CDL A Yard Jockey Spotter

Job Requirements:Requirements

•Minimum of 18 years of age.

•Hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver´s License from state of Illinois.

•Current DOT Medical Card and be able to pass pre-employment DOT drug and criminal background screen.

•Minimum 3 months of spotting experience highly preferred (some spotting experience required).

•Experience with yard horse and/or spotter truck highly preferred (some yard horse and/or spotter truck required).

•Familiar with Samsara systems a plus but will train.

•Be in excellent physical condition and be able to stand, sit, kneel, bend, lift, push, pull for extended periods and have normal use of senses.

•Able to work in all types of environments and under difficult conditions; hot, cold, dust, indoors, outdoors.

•Legally eligible to work in the U.S.

•Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English.

•Must pass pre-hire drug screen and physical.

•Be able to lift, push, pull 65 pounds with no assistance.

Job Description:Responsibilities

•Make 5-20 moves per day with straight-trucks and tractor-trailers using spotter trucks and day cabs.

•LOTS OF WALKING to and from overflow lots and yards in outdoor elements.

•Report mechanical issues, fueling, and checking reefer units.

•Backing tractor trailer and box trucks in and out of docks.

•Checking mechanical aspects of the vehicle.

•Reporting maintenance/repair issues on tractors and trailers.Wage Range: $26.00 per hour - $28.00 per hour Hourly USDGeneral Description of Benefits: Benefits - Eligible 1st of the month following 60 day probation period
