About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Medical Assistant with a strong background in an Urgent Care setting to join our team. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, provides exceptional patient care, and can efficiently support providers while maintaining clinical excellence and outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Room and prepare patients for examination and treatment.
  • Obtain and document vital signs, medical history, medications, and chief complaints.
  • Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
  • Perform phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, wound care, splinting, and other clinical duties as permitted by state regulations.
  • Collect and process laboratory specimens.
  • Administer medications and vaccines as directed by providers.
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR) documentation.
  • Perform patient intake, discharge instructions, and follow-up communication.
  • Ensure exam rooms are stocked, cleaned, and compliant with infection control standards.
  • Verify patient information and insurance when needed.
  • Assist with occupational medicine, workers' compensation, and pre-employment screenings.
  • Support front-office operations during high-volume periods.
  • Travel to multiple clinic locations as needed.

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum 1 years of Medical Assistant experience in an Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, or Fast-Paced Primary Care setting.
  • Current Medical Assistant certification preferred (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent).
  • Current BLS/CPR Certification.
  • Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
  • Experience performing phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, and specimen collection.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and clinical workflows.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between clinic locations.

Preferred

  • X-Ray certification (if applicable under state regulations).
  • Experience with occupational medicine and workers' compensation cases.
