Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a safe, welcoming, and productive learning environment for all students.
- Plan and deliver standards-aligned instruction that meets the needs of diverse learners.
- Differentiate instruction and provide targeted interventions to support student growth.
- Build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
- Support the implementation of school-wide culture systems that promote student success, accountability, and belonging.
- Utilize restorative practices and positive behavior supports to address student behavior and strengthen relationships.
- Monitor student progress and use data to inform instructional decisions.
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress, goals, and support needs.
- Collaborate with instructional assistants, special education staff, and other support personnel.
- Design and facilitate outdoor, experiential, and place-based learning opportunities that connect students with the natural environment and local community.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, school events, field experiences, and community activities.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all state, federal, and school requirements.
Qualifications
Required
- Valid Oregon Teaching License or ability to obtain a charter school registry license (Bachelors Degree)
- Experience working with children and relationship-building skills.
- Knowledge of differentiated instruction and student-centered learning practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students from diverse academic, social, and behavioral backgrounds.
