Job Description
Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into an impactful contract position supporting students as a Speech Language Pathologist or SLPA for the 2026-2027 school year. Work 37.5 hours per week with a diverse caseload spanning both elementary and secondary grade levels, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children through the full range of school-based SLP services.
What we’re looking for:
- Valid Washington State SLP license and Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certification
- Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) candidates are welcome
- Previous experience in pediatric and school settings is highly valued
- Strong understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs) and effective therapy planning
- Excellent collaboration skills for working with teachers, families, and school staff
- Passion for empowering students with a variety of communication needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and develop personalized goals for students with communication disorders
- Implement evidence-based therapy sessions tailored to elementary and secondary learners
- Engage in IEP meetings, contribute professional insights, and maintain thorough documentation
- Consult with educators and parents to support carryover of therapy strategies in everyday settings
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed throughout the school year
- Create a welcoming, inclusive environment focused on student growth and participation
