Job Description

Join our dynamic team working on the warehouse side of the building where you'll be involved in loading and unloading trucks, staging products for production, and managing finished products. You will work closely with a small, dedicated team of five people. The workflow can vary, with some days being slower and others more intense, depending on the production schedule. It's important that you can wear multiple hats, take initiative during quieter times, and make significant contributions during busy periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift safely and securely to move goods, pallets, and equipment.
• Load and unload pallets from trucks and storage areas to the warehouse.
• Verify loads are secure and undamaged.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and safe work area.
• Complete Forklift Operator Daily Checklist before operating.
• Follow department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and others as required.
• Connect and disconnect rail cars daily, regardless of weather conditions.
• Assist with other jobs as needed.
• Learn and operate a turret truck.
• Assist with space allocation and utilization, and transfer inventory when required.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Proven forklift experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or retail settings.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend English.
• Forklift license.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with larger cherry pickers or reach trucks is a plus.
• Familiarity with shipping and receiving SAP software is advantageous.

Work Environment

Work a stable schedule from 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday, in a brand new, very clean, and well-kept warehouse building. Join a small, close-knit team of about five people.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Leominster, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
