Job Description
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Experience a rewarding opportunity supporting students in a vibrant school-based setting as an Occupational Therapist. This full-time, onsite contract position offers a chance to make a positive impact working with both elementary and high school students in resource and self-contained environments. Orientation kicks off August 3 & 4, with students returning August 31, 2026, and your assignment running through October 27, 2026.
What you’ll bring:
- Current Occupational Therapy license
- Previous experience in schools, particularly working with elementary and high school age groups
- Expertise in providing direct and consultative services, documentation, and working in diverse school settings
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt interventions and materials to a range of student needs
- Interest in ongoing professional growth and development
Your key responsibilities:
- Deliver OT services to students as outlined in IEPs, utilizing both direct intervention and consultative approaches
- Use provided equipment and up-to-date testing materials to enhance service delivery
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and fellow therapists during scheduled meetings and roundtables
- Contribute to process improvement to drive best practices
- Engage in a robust orientation with the "Buddy Program" for seamless onboarding
- Connect regularly with discipline supervisors for support and feedback
- Participate in annual performance reviews and receive constructive support for your professional journey
- Access to professional development courses to expand school-based therapy knowledge
- Engage with colleagues across the region through social intranet platforms for ongoing collaboration
- Meet with leadership in regular one-on-one and team settings to discuss your progress and contributions
