Job Description
We are currently looking for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our expanding home health team. This role offers a flexible schedule and competitive per-visit compensation, giving you the opportunity to deliver high-quality patient care while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
In this position, the COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide skilled therapeutic services in patients’ homes. The focus will be on helping patients increase their independence with daily activities and improve overall functional performance.
Compensation:$30 - $40 hourly
Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to patients in their homes under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist
- Assist patients in improving mobility, strength, coordination, and independence with daily activities
- Implement treatment plans established by the supervising OT
- Document patient visits and progress accurately and in a timely manner
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and safety techniques
- Communicate patient progress and concerns to the supervising OT and clinical team
- Maintain compliance with all home health regulations and agency policies
Qualifications:
- Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in the state of Michigan
- Home health experience preferred but not required
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
- Current CPR certification
