A day in the shop

You begin by reviewing technical specs and job travelers. After selecting the right coating system, you prep components—cleaning, sanding, and masking to exact tolerances. You mix and color-match materials, verify viscosity, and set up your spray, brush, or roller process. With a steady hand, you apply coatings, then inspect your work for uniformity and coverage, making touch-ups when needed. You keep your booth and tools spotless and safe, and you coordinate with teammates to keep production on schedule. Before you wrap, you perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal spray patterns and reliability for the next run.

Your impact

• Prepare surfaces through cleaning, sanding, and masking following work instructions.
• Mix and match paints and coatings to specification, confirming proper ratios and finish requirements.
• Apply coatings via spray, brush, and roller techniques to achieve consistent results.
• Inspect finished parts for quality, making adjustments or rework as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Collaborate with the team to meet production deadlines.
• Conduct routine maintenance on painting equipment for peak performance.

• Proven experience in industrial painting or a closely related coatings role.
• Solid command of painting tools, techniques, and safety practices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and specifications.

• Physical stamina, including the ability to lift heavy materials as needed.
