Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Speech-Language Pathology professionals are invited to apply for rewarding contract roles supporting students in the upcoming 2026–2027 school year. These positions offer an opportunity to make an impact in educational settings near Richmond, TX. Selected candidates will interview prior to placement, with specific school assignments provided closer to the start of the academic year. Requirements:

  • Active Texas SLP or SLPA license (screenshot of licensure must be provided upon submission)
  • SLPAs must already possess licensure; supervision hours are not available for those seeking to obtain a license
  • Prior school-based experience as an SLP or SLPA is essential
  • Availability to work on-site throughout the contract term
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to complete required HISD fingerprinting promptly within the first 3 days of signing a contract
  • No SLP-CFs for this assignment

Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech-language therapy and support to students across various campuses (specific placements assigned prior to the school year)
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders within a school environment
  • Collaborate with educators, staff, and families to optimize students’ educational experiences
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all district and state requirements

The assignment is scheduled from July 30, 2026, to May 28, 2027. Compensation for these positions is competitive and aligns with licensure and experience—SLPs and SLPAs receive tailored pay rates, with additional considerations for bilingual professionals.
