Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Begin the 2026-2027 school year with a meaningful opportunity to support elementary-aged learners with mild to moderate special needs. This part-time contract position offers the chance to make a direct impact by providing resource and/or inclusion services to students receiving special education within a supportive school environment. The specific caseload for this position will be finalized with district confirmation and is anticipated to focus on elementary students requiring specialized instruction.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Colorado Special Education License, or ability to obtain one through reciprocity
- Experience working with elementary-aged students is preferred
- In-depth knowledge of IDEA and special education compliance procedures
- Strong communication skills to effectively partner with families, staff, and service providers
- Collaborative mindset and commitment to individualized support
Responsibilities Include:
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction aligned to IEP goals and student needs
- Monitor, document, and assess student progress, maintaining all required compliance records
- Collaborate with school personnel, families, and related service providers to create supportive learning environments
- Participate actively in team meetings, student evaluations, and ongoing case management
- Flexibly provide resource or inclusion services according to students’ educational plans
This contract position begins August 12, 2026 and continues through the end of the school year. The schedule will be part-time, with specific working hours to be determined. Candidates able to work primarily onsite are preferred, though hybrid arrangements may be considered.
